The two top diplomats held a phone conversation on Tuesday morning, exchanging views on the latest regional developments.
They also discussed diplomatic initiatives aimed at de-escalating tensions across the region.
It came two days after Araghchi spoke on the phone with his Saudi counterpart, Faisal bin Farhan, during which Iran’s chief diplomat said that insisting on a military approach and ignoring a political solution will make the ongoing regional situation more complex.
Araghchi further said the Islamic Republic is ready to provide any assistance to help initiate dialogue between Saudi Arabia and Yemen and to assist in achieving a political solution.
