Baqaei made the remarks in a late Friday post on X after watching a theatrical performance of “Arash” in Tehran, based on the legendary archer in Iranian mythology and tradition.
“Tonight, I watched our country’s talented artists’ perform in the remarkable play ‘Arash.’ In this portrayal, Arash is not merely a hero from mythology; he is a symbol of sacrifice and responsibility toward the homeland, values that must always be honored and carried forward,” the spokesperson said. He also shared two photos of the performance.
“Myths are not just stories from the past; they are a nation’s shared memory, an invisible thread that connects us to our roots, to one another, and to the meaning of Iran,” he added.
“Seeing people with diverse views and tastes come together to revisit a shared myth reminds us that a nation’s identity, beyond differences and personal preferences, rests on shared memories and values. And at historic turning points, what binds us together and unites us is none other than our homeland: Iran,” he concluded.
