Ghalibaf made the remarks in a post on X, reacting to a recent JPMorgan assessment that said the bank had, for the first time since the start of the US-Israeli war of aggression on Iran, no baseline view for forecasting the oil market.
"We simply don't know how to model the endgame," JPMorgan analysts said in a September 17 note, according to Reuters.
Ghalibaf described the situation as resembling the Schrödinger's cat paradox, saying, "It's Schrödinger: the empire is in the SOH (Strait of Hormuz) cabinet with falling plates, projecting hegemony but fully exposed, trying to suffocate Iran without blowback (impossible)."
"This endgame cannot be modeled. It will be opened, and Iran's hand is already on the lever," he added.
The United States and Israel waged an unprovoked war on Iran on February 28, assassinating top Iranian officials and commanders, including the Leader of the Islamic Revolution, Ayatollah Seyyed Ali Khamenei.
After forty days, Iran's decisive response, including its unrelenting military operations and closure of the Strait of Hormuz, forced Washington and Tel Aviv to halt the war.
