Speaking after the Monday meeting, Bagheri Kani said the gathering took place amid major strategic developments in the region over recent months, which he attributed to the “brutal aggression” of the Israeli regime and the “terrorist US government.”

“Today, everyone acknowledges that the resistance of our Armed Forces and people, alongside the wisdom exercised by our dear Leader, has not only thwarted the United States’ objectives but also left it at a loss,” he said.

Bagheri Kani maintained that the Israeli regime is not in a favorable position and that developments following its aggression against the Islamic Republic did not unfold according to its plans.

He said the concept of “Greater Israel,” which he argued encompasses many countries in the region, has reinforced regional countries’ shared understanding that the Israeli regime was the source of instability, creating a basis for cooperation to establish security within the region.

According to Bagheri Kani, another important point highlighted during the meeting was the emphasis by all four countries on self-reliance and the development of domestic capabilities.

He described self-reliance as a fundamental strategic policy of the Islamic Republic of Iran, adding that the other participants also acknowledged its importance.

“This is a very important point and a fundamental cornerstone on which we can move toward the future,” he said.

The meeting brought together senior representatives of Iran, Saudi Arabia, Turkiye, and Pakistan to discuss regional developments and security.

Such decisions should be made neither amid heightened emotions, nor out of anger, nor in reaction to the pressures of the day.
