Tehran’s Nobonyad Square Named After Martyr Admiral Ali Shamkhani

At the 435th session of the Tehran City Council, Nobonyad Square was named after Martyr Admiral Ali Shamkhani, the Leader’s representative and martyred secretary of the Defense Council.

Nournews: According to a resolution adopted at the 435th session of the Tehran City Council, Nobonyad Square was named after Martyr Admiral Ali Shamkhani, the Leader’s representative and secretary of the Defense Council.

The newly constructed Dogaz Expressway, stretching from the intersection of Shahid Kharrazi Expressway and Kerman Khodro Boulevard, was also named after Martyr Major General Seyyed Abdolrahim Mousavi, the former chief of staff of the Armed Forces.

At the session, Darya Boulevard, between Shahid Farahzadi Street and Shahid Sharifi Street, was also renamed after Martyr Rear Admiral Alireza Tangsiri. Ram Street in the Pasdaran area, between Behestan 4th Street and Shahid Souri Street, was also named after Martyr Dr. Kamal Kharrazi.

Tehran City Council Chairman Mehdi Chamran also commented on proposals to rename some urban sites, saying that correspondence with the Ministry of Roads and Urban Development would be necessary to rename Mehrabad Airport after the martyred Leader. Chamran said the proposal to rename Valiasr Park after the martyred Leader would also be approved by the council.
