The two sides met in Tehran on Tuesday, discussing the latest developments in Lebanon and the region, according to a post shared on the Telegram page of the Iranian Foreign Ministry spokesperson.

They last met in Tehran on July 12, 2026, when the Iranian foreign minister strongly condemned repeated US attacks on Iran and violations of arrangements concerning the Strait of Hormuz, as well as Israel’s continued military attacks in Lebanon.

He said the United States should bear responsibility for the dangerous consequences of the escalation and called on the United Nations to adopt a clear and firm position in condemning the US aggression.

The Iranian foreign minister also reaffirmed Tehran’s comprehensive support for the Lebanese people, Lebanon’s territorial integrity and national sovereignty, stressing the need to pursue an end to Israel’s aggression and occupation of the country.
