The incident occurred at about 11:30 a.m. local time on Saturday, 18 nautical miles from Messen village in Qeshm County. Each boat had two people on board, Nafisi said, according to the provincial governor’s public relations office.
Two crew members were brought to Qeshm, he said, adding that one was injured and taken to hospital for treatment.
The other two remain missing, and search and rescue operations in the area are underway, Nafisi said, noting that authorities were following up and would release further details after receiving verified reports.
