Mohebbi made the remarks in a message on Saturday night, criticizing the United States for naming the most powerful non-nuclear bomb in its arsenal the “Mother of All Bombs.”
“Only a barbaric civilization could use the sacred word ‘mother’ for its most powerful bomb. The future belongs to a nation that turns the enemy’s greatest threat into a subject of everyday public humor,” he said.
His remarks came as the United States has not ruled out launching new major combat operations against Iran, while the two sides remain deadlocked over efforts to end the war launched by the US and Israel on February 28.
Iran has defended itself against the attacks and vowed a stronger response if military aggression against its territory resumes.
US media reports in recent days have said that Washington has drawn up plans to strike Iran’s energy infrastructure and nuclear sites using the GBU-43/B Massive Ordnance Air Blast (MOAB), commonly known as the “Mother of All Bombs,” should President Donald Trump order further military action.
