Reaffirming that the three islands are inseparable part of Iranian territory, he called on Emirati officials to adhere to the requirements of good neighborliness and the historical and legal realities of the region, instead of repeating unfounded claims.
The UAE Minister of State for Foreign Affairs, during his address to the 81st UNGA session, once again raised his country's claims regarding the Iranian islands of Greater Tunb, Lesser Tunb, and Abu Musa.
A representative of the Iranian Mission at the UN quickly rejected the claim, saying Iran's sovereignty over the three islands is not negotiable as they have always been, are, and will remain inseparable part of Iranian territory.
