Kazem Gharibabadi, deputy foreign minister for legal and international affairs, wrote on social media, "On the International Day for the Total Elimination of Nuclear Weapons, a clear question faces the international community: how can one speak of disarmament while ignoring the nuclear arsenal of the Zionist regime?!"
He added, "Disarmament, peace and global security cannot be achieved with double standards and impunity for a particular regime."
