Speaking at the opening of South Korea’s Cultural Week in Tehran on Saturday, he said that friendship needs no translation, especially in a world increasingly affected by conflicts and tensions.
The event opened at the South Korean Consulate in Tehran with a joint art exhibition featuring works by 80 Iranian and South Korean artists, including calligraphy, paintings, and sculptures.
Kim said the selection of 40 artists from each country symbolized friendship and closer ties between the two nations. He also praised an Iranian calligrapher’s work combining Korean Hangul script with Persian calligraphy, calling it a valuable example of cultural exchange.
The diplomat expressed hope that a similar exhibition would be held in Seoul in the future.
