Amir Zamanpour broke Iran's record for 5,000 meters on Sunday after winning the run in an athletics tournament in Turkey.
He ran the track in 13: 50.08, topping a previous record of 13: 53.40 reported from Seyyed Hamid Sajjadi in 1995 World Championships in Athletics in Gothenburg, Sweden.
