In his message issued on Monday, on the occasion of 'Passive Defense Week,' Araghchi reiterated the Foreign Ministry's resolve to utilize all diplomatic capacities to provide political and legal defense for the country and to secure national interests.
Quoting the martyred Leader of the Islamic Revolution, Ayatollah Seyyed Ali Khamenei that passive defense — a perpetual principle — must never be halted under any pretext or justification, he also highlighted the significance of this vital domain.
According to him, the field that was established under the wise guidance and wisdom of the martyred leader —and gradually reinforced with the dedication of all state institutions, alongside the robust participation of the Iranian nation— has been instrumental in the country’s commendable resilience during recent wars, effectively neutralizing numerous plots orchestrated by the enemies.
The top diplomat underscored that the triumph over the aggressive US and Israeli regimes was made possible solely through the solidarity and mobilization of all military and public sectors, as well as the active presence and resistance of the Iranian nation.
Araghchi also pointed to Iran's successful diplomatic maneuver, saying it was possibly by leveraging all available capacities—fostered by close coordination and cooperation between the Armed Forces and the foreign policy apparatus in the pursuit of safeguarding the nation’s sovereignty and dignity.
Hailing the slogan “People-centered Civil Defense, A Resilient Iran,” which has been designated for the Civil Defense Week between October 26 and November 2, Araghchi reaffirmed his ministry's pledges to utilize its full diplomatic and foreign policy capacity to safeguard national interests, in strict alignment with the directives of the Leader of the Islamic Revolution.
