Iran's FM spox blames NATO intervention for Ukraine Crisis

Khatibzadeh said that The Islamic Republic of Iran is monitoring the developments in Ukraine with sensitivity, unfortunately, provocative measures and interventions by the United States led to drastic escalation of tensions, and the continuation of US-backed NATO provocations has led to a situation in which the Eurasian region is on the verge of entering a comprehensive crisis

NOURNEWS – Iran’s Foreign Ministry spokesman Saeed Khatibzadeh said on Thursday that NATO interventions and provocative measures have made the situation with Ukraine more complicated.

Khatibzadeh on Thursday while referring to the recent developments in Ukraine Crisis, expressed regret over the start of military action and the escalation of the conflict.

He said that The Islamic Republic of Iran is minitoring the developments in Ukraine with sensitivity, unfortunately,  provocative measures and interventions by the United States led to drastic escalation of tensions, and the continuation of US-backed NATO provocations has led to a situation in which the Eurasian region is on the verge of entering a comprehensive crisis.
 
He added that "unfortunately, NATO's provocative measures and interventions, led by the US, have further complicated the situation in the region".

The Islamic Republic of Iran urges all sides of the conflict to exercise restraint, Iran calls on and a ceasefire for immediate talks to find a political solution to the crisis, and reiterates the need to respect international law and humanitarian law in military conflicts.
