NOURNEWS - Six days after the explosion of the port of Beirut, despite the subsidence of the dust of its ruins, the dust that dominates the political atmosphere of this country is becoming thicker day by day, dust that three factors of foreign interference, unraveling bankrupt current political groups and media climate of the current developments has increased its density.
The deadly blast, which devastated half of Beirut and left more than 300,000 displaced, nearly 200 dead and 6,000 injured, despite the 2005 Beirut bombing that killed former Lebanese Prime Minister Rafik Hariri; It is not comparable, but in terms of political consequences, it is very close to that event, so that political circles refer to the political consequences of this explosion as a political earthquake in this country.
As the dusty Lebanese political atmosphere intensifies, street clashes between supporters of the three political currents of the Lebanese Forces, Al-Mustaqbal and the Lebanese Social Druze Party led by Samir Geagea, Saad Hariri and Walid Jumblat, began two nights ago in the streets around the port of Beirut with security forces. And protesters occupying the buildings of the Ministries of Economy, Environment, Labor, Foreign Affairs and the Central Bank; They set fire to and looted these buildings. More than 280 people were injured and one member of the security forces was killed in the clashes.
Following the intensification of street clashes and in the political phase of the developments, we also witnessed the mass resignation of ministers and members of parliament, which took place in line with what were called popular demands. An approach that increased pressure on Lebanese Prime Minister Hassan Diab and his eventual resignation. Hassan Diab had said before his resignation that the only consequence of this process of stoning is the investigation to determine the culprits of the port explosion.
A noteworthy point in the formation of riots and street protests after the Beirut bombing is that these actions were planned by the leaders of parties whose names are on the list of accused of Lebanese corruption, and the Beirut Port Authority has been in the hands of these party affiliates for the past three years. have been.
The resignation of the government, the holding of early parliamentary elections and the disarmament of the resistance were the three main demands of the protesters, whose street presence was also covered live on Zionist television channels, demands that had nothing to do with the current crisis and aid to the victims of the Beirut bombing.
In his first reaction to the bombing of the port of Beirut, Seyed Hassan Nasrallah, Secretary General of Hezbollah in Lebanon, in a speech broadcast live on Al-Manar on Friday evening, called on all groups and political parties to calm down and called on all parties to focus on providing relief and reducing the victims were suffering from this accident.
Hezbollah's secretary general also escaped the bombing of news and mass attacks by local and regional media, especially the hot market of rumors in cyberspace, and called on everyone to be patient and respond to the accusations against Hezbollah after the facts are revealed. Postponed by the research team. During the speech, Seyyed Hassan Nasrallah stressed the need to prosecute and punish all the perpetrators of this incident, regardless of political or sectarian affiliations.
Hassan Diab's resignation after this evening's meeting of the government chaired by Michel Aoun will definitely lead to a disruption of the investigation into the causes of the explosion in the port of Beirut and, of course, further instability in the country, as he had previously said.
With the resignation of the government, if the political groups agree, the majority of the parliament will have to nominate a new person to form the cabinet to the president, but Hassan Diab will continue to be in charge of the current affairs as the resigned head of government.
According to the resigned Lebanese Prime Minister, if a decision is made to hold early parliamentary elections, given the sectarian system in the country and the quota that different tribes have in parliament, it will only be possible to change individuals and not approaches.
But in the current context of Lebanon, it is necessary to mention that Hezbollah has never sought a share in the government.
Hezbollah has its traditional parliamentary seats based on sectarian elections and has always given its ministerial shares to its political allies, while in the event of a change in the electoral law and holding elections based on a majority system, a high vote in all tribes.
On this basis, it seems that Hezbollah, by insisting on the position of pursuing and punishing its economic corrupters, has prepared itself for the situation after the resignation of the government and the dissolution of the parliament, and thus does not have to face the extremely angry public opinion of the Lebanese people. He sees the current as an opportunity to break the pressure of sanctions on the economy and people's livelihood.
But on the other hand, the story is all about attracting international aid to rebuild the ruins of the port of Beirut and help Lebanon's crisis-ridden economy, which was ostensibly the pretext for all the media and political atmosphere in the country after the bombing of the port of Beirut, and Macron's journey and interventionist remarks were key to a summit which was attended by 36 countries, that did not invite Iran, Russia and Turkey to participate, and the main actors were countries such as the United States, Britain, Saudi Arabia, the United Arab Emirates and some European countries with the opposite approach to the resistance. The summit resulted in $ 300 million in international aid to compensate for the $ 15 billion in damage, a conditional aid that, according to the French president, will not reach corrupt Lebanese politicians and is conditional on political reform.
A statement issued by the summit said that the aid would not be provided to the government and would be given to the people through the United Nations, an approach that effectively weakened and led to the fall of the government.
The outcome of this meeting seems to be a continuation of the CEDRE I meeting, which was held in April 2018 on the eve of the Lebanese parliamentary elections hosted by Paris to collect international aid to help Lebanon's crisis-ridden economy; Putting the Lebanese people in the dual weapon of resistance or receiving economic aid is a duality that the Lebanese people responded to in the 2018 parliamentary elections and chose the option of resistance.
