NOURNEWS - Matthew H. Tueller, the US ambassador to Baghdad, discussed the future of Iraq-US talks and the revival of old agreement between the two countries called the "Strategic Agreement".
He added: "In the coming weeks, my colleagues will discuss separately how to review the strategic agreement. We have bilateral relations in all political, economic, cultural, educational and scientific fields, and this cooperation is not limited to security assistance."
He also pointed out that: "Cooperation between the two sides in the economic sector will include attracting trade delegations, and the goal of US investment in Iraq & its assistance is to make the country independent in the energy sector. In the political sector, programs to strengthen human rights and justice will also be examined."
"So partnership and cooperation between the two countries is not limited to the security sector, and the United States wants to hold this strategic dialogue with the aim of strengthening cooperation in all of these areas to address the many challenges that Iraq currently facing," the US ambassador to Baghdad stated.
