Iranians mark the National Commemoration Day of the renowned Persian poet Saadi Shirazi on April 21 every year.

Unlike the famous poet Hafiz, who spent most of his life in Shiraz, Saadi travels to Baghdad to study, as he prefers to travel to different cities.

– Today is the National Commemoration Day of the renowned Persian poet Saadi Shirazi, born in Shiraz around 1200 and died around 1292.
