NOURNEWS - The new round of talks between Iran and the P4+1 has started in Vienna on Monday, November 29th, and in addition to the current process at the negotiating table, the margins of the media have become the main platform for the transmission of messages.
However, as expected, the first day of this round of talks focused on determining the principles and foundations of the talks to continue the course, and the talks focused on lifting the sanctions in a constructive, professional, and frank atmosphere.
In the first round of talks, all sides acknowledged Iran's right to insist on the lifting of sanctions, and it was decided that the meeting of the working group on lifting sanctions would start discussions.
As Ali Bagheri, the head of the Iranian delegation, stated last night at the end of the inaugural meeting, Iran has stressed that it is not possible to decide on other issues until the status of sanctions is clarified, and as long as there is a red list of sanctions, the green light for the US to return to the agreement will not be lit.
Regarding the documents obtained from the previous 6 rounds of negotiations, as Bagheri emphasized, these documents are merely a draft, and although Iran does not omit all of them, the draft is essentially not a definitive document and can be changed and negotiated. Therefore, the delegation of the Islamic Republic of Iran intends to present its comments and suggestions regarding the previous texts and to put new drafts on the table.
According to this, Iran does not intend to ignore the previous six rounds of talks in Vienna, but since no agreement was reached in the previous six rounds of talks and the result is a draft with open parentheses, it is naturally debatable.
The principles of negotiation dictate that until the drafts are finalized, each party has the right to comment and negotiate on all matters.
The fact that it is an important part of the negotiations, if it is accompanied by the will and seriousness of the negotiating parties, is certainly not considered an obstacle to the progress of the negotiations, but can pave the way to reach to a strong and lasting agreement.
The Islamic Republic of Iran has shown its serious and decisive determination to enter into constructive and result-oriented negotiations by appointing and sending an experienced and experienced delegation to Vienna, and certainly, if the will of the other side is strong and progressive, it is possible to use the minimum time to reach a "good agreement."
The negotiating parties are now faced with a draft, parts of which can be completed and amended.
Of course, this draft cannot be the starting point for new negotiations as a priori agreement because it is a logical and accepted principle in any negotiation process that "until everything is agreed, nothing will be agreed."
