NOURNEWS - At the joint meeting of the Secretaries of the Supreme National Security Council of Iran and Russia, which was held this Thursday morning on the sidelines of the third regional security dialogue in New Delhi, the two sides exchanged views on regional and international developments, strategic cooperation between the two countries. During the meeting, Ali Shamkhani, Secretary of the Supreme National Security Council, explained the various crises that have gripped the region, including the crisis of terrorism, military aggression, occupation and the refugee crisis: The way out of this situation is to end the intervention of trans-regional countries, especially the United States, and the cooperation and cooperation of countries in the region to adopt local solutions to the crisis.

The Secretary of the Supreme National Security Council of Iran stated: "The Islamic Republic of Iran, with concern for the developments in Afghanistan and the impact of instability on the livelihood and security of the suffering people of this country, will pursue and will spare no effort to help the people of Afghanistan. The expansion of Iran-Russia relations in all areas, especially security, and the continuation of the joint fight against terrorism play a decisive role in regional stability."
He clarified that Iran and Russia are the target of US conspiracies and sanctions, and they must dismantle the US sanctions system by raising the level of comprehensive cooperation.
In this meeting, Nikolai Patrushev, while expressing satisfaction with the developing relations between Tehran and Moscow in various fields, said that the continuation of this cooperation is in the interest of the two nations of Iran and Russia.
Referring to the constructive impact of the third regional security dialogue meeting on bringing closer the views of the countries in the region on common threats and ways to deal with it, he said: "Regional cooperation is not just an option but an inevitable path to sustainable security in the region."
Referring to the talks on the Afghan crisis, he said: "The issue of Afghanistan, thanks to the coordination and synergy of the countries in the region, can get out of the situation of instability and have a better future ahead."
