NOURNEWS - At the same time, as tensions escalated by the Zionist regime and incited inflammation against Iran, the head of the US Central Intelligence Agency (CIA) entered the occupied territories on Tuesday, August 10th.
This is his first visit to Tel Aviv since William Burns headed the CIA in late March last year.
According to Israeli media reports, Burns scheduled to meet with Israeli President Yitzhak Herzog, Prime Minister Naftali Bennett, Foreign Minister Yair Lapid, Mossad chief David Barnea and a number of other Israeli officials.
These media outlets have said that in talks with Burns, Israeli officials want to answer the question of whether Joe Biden's government is still seeking to revive the JCOPA despite the appointment of Ebrahim Raisi as president.
The day before William Burns' visit to the occupied territories began, Bloomberg News reported that the Biden administration was trying to find "alternative ways to resume talks with Iran." Meanwhile, a message sent to Tehran through London through an intermediary a few days ago stressed that Britain agrees with the United States in resolving issues arising through diplomatic channels.
Two weeks ago, on the eve of the inauguration of the President of the Islamic Republic of Iran, the Zionist regime, with the support of London and Washington, carried out a large-scale psychological operation based on two big lies claiming Iran's role in the incidents on two ships in the Persian Gulf. And the Sea of Oman to increase insecurity in the region and increase pressure on the West to gain concessions in the Vienna talks by building a consensus against Tehran.
This scenario, of course, failed and not only failed to convince the members of the UN Security Council, but also changed the approach of the United States and Britain from threatening reciprocity to pursuing a diplomatic path.
However, there is evidence that Tel Aviv insists on continuing tensions and evil, as evidenced by the establishment of a Mossad cyber base in the UAE and the secret passage of a submarine escorting two ships through the Suez Canal and entering the Red Sea.
On the other hand, the White House, realizing that Iran is under pressure to refuse to make any concessions and that the negotiation process may stall, has made every effort to control Naftali Bennett's crude and hasty behavior in escalating tensions. Actually, the CIA director's visit to Tel Aviv can be assessed in this light.
