NOURNEWS - Iraqi Prime Minister Mustafa al-Kadhimi is scheduled to travel to Washington on Monday to finalize a Baghdad-Washington agreement on how US forces operate in the country, according to the plan.
Meanwhile, Iraqi Foreign Minister Fuad Hussein, who traveled to the United States to follow up on the talks, told the Wall Street Journal that Iraq did not need more troops, but changed his position at a joint news conference with his US counterpart. : Iraqis still do not need American troops!
These positions have been severely criticized by various Iraqi groups who have called them against the security and national interests of their country, as Nasser al-Shammari called the spokesman of the noble movement Fouad Hussein a defender of American interests.
The opposition of various Iraqi groups to the actions of the Al-Kadhimi government regarding the withdrawal of American troops is based on at least five reasons:
First; "Popular Demand": The Iraqi people, like many nations in the region, see their country's independence and progress as dependent on liberation from US dependence and interference, and if they shout at the glorious funeral of the martyred resistance commanders, call for the complete withdrawal of foreign troops, especially terrorists. They are Americans from their homeland.
Second; "Parliamentary Resolution": After the US terrorist act in martyring General Soleimani and Abu Mahdi Al-Mohandes and revealing the country's public support for terrorists against the security of Iraq, the Iraqi parliament, with a decisive vote, calls for the complete and unconditional expulsion of American troops. What happened to information and security, so the government is obliged by the constitution to implement this law and not to violate it.
Third, "Lessons and Internal Capacities": Given the bitter experience of 20 years of U.S. occupation in Afghanistan, Iraqi groups insist that the formation of popular resistance groups under the fatwa of religious authority and their vast achievements against terrorism indicates enormous domestic capacities to achieve stability and security, and there is no need for a U.S. presence.
They emphasize that the United States, through its monopoly, hegemony, pressure and threats, has obstructed Iraq's free and national interests in foreign policy, which is reflected in the expansion of relations with Iran, China, and Russia.
Fourth; "Behavioral Facts": Referring to the 18-year history of the American presence in Iraq, Iraqi groups emphasize that this presence has served nothing but ethnic and religious divisions, supporting terrorism, and creating divisions between Iraq and the countries of the region. The position of Masoud Barzani, who officially declared that Iran was the only country that rushed to the aid of ISIS at the time of ISIL's attack on Erbil, is a testament to this claim.
The killing of Sinjaris, Yazidis, and the US-backed ISIL spy air strike at Spyker Air Base is another manifestation of Washington's behavior in Iraq, which has intensified calls for Iraqi groups to withdraw US troops.
Meanwhile, Iraqi groups, citing undeniable documents, emphasize that the US presence in Iraq has paved the way for the Zionist regime's espionage and sabotage activities, which pose a serious threat to their country's security.
Fifth; "World Record": Iraqi groups, referring to the US record from World War II until today, emphasize that the US has not been present in any country or region unless it has killed and displaced millions of people.
Even now, the United States is pursuing a multi-layered crisis policy by creating political and security vacuums and social unrest against the countries of the region, which is a manifestation of the current situation in Iraq and Lebanon.
Accordingly, the Iraqi people insist that the withdrawal of Americans is an unchangeable demand, and that any movement or government that moves against it will definitely lose its popular status, and that the people will marginalize their path from those who love U.S. support in the October elections.
