NOURNEWS - Saeed Khatibzadeh, the spokesman of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, said this morning (Monday) in a press conference with the presence of journalists, which was held in the form of a video conference, in response to a question about the Vienna talks: It is natural that religious democracy prevails in Iran, and these talks were delayed due to the non-implementation of them by the United States.
He continued: "Elections were held in Iran, and it is natural that we should allow the new government to rule based on the teachings of democracy and, as the executor, to advance the orders of the system."
Khatibzadeh said: "Of course, the macro-policies of the system are the ones determined by the Supreme Leader and the higher institutions, and the government and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs implement those decisions." It is natural that this (negotiations) will continue in a normal way. It is important that the interests of the people are served and that the supreme decisions of the system be implemented.
"If the United States returns to implementing its decisions under Resolution 2231 and we verify it, it is natural that the Islamic Republic of Iran will have a full resumption of its obligations," he said. We have to wait for the new government to be established, God willing.
"What has been announced by European judicial authorities is a shameful decision," a State Department spokesman said in response to anti-veil laws in Europe.
He continued: "It is strange that when human rights and the rights of minorities and the rights of freedom of religion reach Islam and Muslims, it takes on a narrow meaning in Europe." What has been declared a decision is a discriminatory decision and, more importantly, a discriminatory decision and can be the basis for the spread of Islamophobia and the spread of violence against Muslims across Europe.
"It is natural that we expect the relevant European institutions and authorities to rectify this," the State Department spokesman said. This is the primary and obvious violation of the freedom of law and religion in Europe, and the violation of the rights of minorities across Europe.
Regarding the latest development status of the Chabahar port, Khatibzadeh said: "Chabahar port is one of the most important ports in Iran in the field of water development and in the south-north corridor, which has been discussed between Iran, Russia and India for nearly two decades."
He continued: "Part of the development contract has been given to Indian companies and we expect Indian companies to fulfill their obligations."
The spokesman of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of our country said: "We expect neither one word more than the JCPOA nor one word less than that! It is natural that we act solely on our obligations and what is written in accordance with our obligations under the JCPOA.
The spokesman for the Ministry of Foreign Affairs stated: "Many plans may be said, but what is clear is the system's general and principled policy, which is that nothing beyond the JCPOA will be accepted,"the spokesman said.
Regarding the details of the agreement between Iran, the United Kingdom and the United States for the release of prisoners, Khatibzadeh said, "The comments we heard from the U.S. side about this agreement are truly astonishing. In addition to the JCPOA talks in Vienna and parallel to that, but separately, we had discussions with the United States as well as the United Kingdom on this humanitarian and humanitarian issue.
He continued: "From the first day, we have said that the release of Iranians who have been unjustly and cruelly imprisoned in the United States and some European countries under false pretenses is a priority."
"We look at it as a humanitarian and humanitarian issue," said a State Department spokesman. But what the United States is doing is tying a human issue to a political goal that has never been acceptable to us.
Khatibzadeh added: "These talks started and ended in Vienna." A series of preparations were needed on all sides between Iran, Britain and the United States, and all sides went and made the preparations. Unfortunately, the part about US commitments was not done until yesterday.
He continued: "We realized that when Iran announced to its side on the P4+1 that the seventh round of negotiations would take place under the new administration, suddenly the United States made a political decision to link the issue of prisoner release to this issue. This means connecting the dialogue that had ended on the humanitarian issue to the JCPOA.
A State Department spokesman continued: "We think this is a wrong approach, and it will make all roads difficult. Even today, if the United States fulfills its obligations under that agreement, it can be done for the release of 10 prisoners on all sides of Iran, Britain and the United States.
Khatibzadeh said: "The visit of the technical officials of the IAEA to Iran is a natural issue and is always done and has no news and political value at different levels, and these are our relations within the framework of safeguards."
He added: "According to our assessments, unfortunately, the American side in the previous six rounds did not agree to return to all its obligations under UNSCR 2231.
A State Department spokesman continued: "Of course, most of what had to be agreed upon was done. There was a disagreement on some lists and titles that the American side practically blocked in the sixth period, and no new agreement was reached.
"So we let the American side go and make its own political decision in Washington," Khatibzadeh said. In Tehran, too, with regard to the holding of elections and the election of the president-elect, and, of course, the peaceful and civil transfer of power, a series of preparations had to be made and issues transferred.
He also said: "Based on the decision of the higher institutions, a committee was named as the Implementation Committee. Naturally, reports have been given in the Implementation of the Committee."
Khatibzadeh said that the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, as a governing body, would take action to implement the decisions. Accordingly, in the thirteenth government, it will continue according to the macro policies of the labor system. It is natural that the State Department acts within the framework of sovereign decisions.
The spokesman for the Ministry of Foreign Affairs added: "But the government, as the executive body in this field, has new competencies that we must allow in this smooth transfer of power of Mr. Raeesi's government, to be able to have its own voice and role." This is a very common thing all over the world, and not only in Iran!
He also said: "Of course, there are countries that did not see the ballot box and do not know the meaning of a smooth transfer of power." But it should be natural to Western countries that are familiar with these concepts.
Khatibzadeh also said in response to the Zionist aggression against Al-Aqsa Mosque: "This threat, which is being carried out on the eve of Eid al-Adha, is strongly condemned." The Islamic Republic of Iran also expresses its disgust. It is natural that the Zionists once again showed that there is no way to liberate Holy Quds against Palestine and the Islamic world except through resistance.
In response to a question about the status of the continuation of the Afghan peace talks, the spokesman of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of our country said: The Islamic Republic of Iran will continue the path it has started until the Afghan parties adhere to it.
"We are actively in contact with Afghan groups, both bilaterally and multilaterally," he said. Our Special Representative is constantly in touch with face-to-face meetings and telephone calls, and we continue to do so.
Khatibzadeh said: "We are ready to continue this work in person." We welcome any initiative in this direction. We believe that Iran can only help achieve peace in Afghanistan in a comprehensive dialogue with the parties.
Regarding the agreement reached for the release of Iranian, British and American prisoners, he said: "We will not reveal the details of what has been agreed." If the American side and the British side do their part, the Islamic Republic of Iran is ready to do its part today. Let's see where the path leads.
Regarding the latest situation in the negotiations between Iran and Saudi Arabia, Khatibzadeh said, "I have said many times about the talks with Saudi Arabia, and I reiterate that these negotiations are in the interests of the region and in the interests of the People of Iran and Saudi Arabia, and inshallah will continue on the path that the two sides agree on."
"They are the Lebanese people who have to decide on the future of Lebanon," he said. We have never backed down from providing assistance to all parties, including the government, groups and parties. Whenever we were asked for help from the Islamic Republic of Iran, we helped.
The Foreign Ministry spokesman continued: "In this economic pressure that the Lebanese people are in, we have repeatedly stated our readiness to the Lebanese government to help." If the Lebanese government is ready, we will not hesitate to send aid.
