NOURNEWS - The process of developments related to the Iranian nuclear issue since the beginning of the negotiations that led to the JCPOA agreement between Iran and the P5 + 1, as in previous periods, has experienced many ups and downs that are entirely a function of Iran's continuous and principled efforts to It has been the defense of its legal rights and the hostile and negligent actions of the Western parties in this regard.
Aside from Barack Obama's breach of the treaty in the very first months of JCPOA's signing, Donald Trump's unilateral withdrawal from the agreement in May 1997 and the launch of the "maximum pressure" project against the Iranian people was a turning point that showed virtually no promise from Americans can be trusted.
Although the Islamic Republic of Iran, even after the withdrawal of the United States from the UN Security Council, showed its goodwill to the European side and accepted their 11-point guarantee that Iran would benefit from JCPOA by unilaterally fulfilling its JCPOA commitments, the European troika complemented Trump's actions, showing that there is no honesty and commitment in Western DNA.
The adoption of an active resistance policy by Iran in May 1998 and the reduction of JCPOA's commitments in five steps based on Iran's authorized rights in paragraphs 26 and 36 were the first important steps that led the Western parties to change Iran's strategy to the point where the US Democrats Their election programs claimed a change in the way they dealt with Iran and the issue of JCPOA.
Nevertheless, as expected, Biden and his team, both in their pre-election and post-White House positions, practically followed in Trump's footsteps, calling for an unequivocal halt to their return to the JCPOA at no cost. And why did Iran become one of their countermeasures?
Meanwhile, the Islamic Consultative Assembly, with the aim of realizing the rights of the Iranian people and forcing the Western side to fulfill its obligations, passed the law "Strategic Action to Lift Sanctions and Protect the Interests of the Iranian Nation" and oblige the government to practical abolition of JCPOA obligations. He started enriching 20% of uranium.
The two-month deadline also required the government to suspend voluntary implementation of the Additional Protocol and oversight of the NPT if the West continues to violate the treaty, which will be set on February 17, one week before the deadline. The Director General of the International Atomic Energy Agency was officially informed by the Permanent Mission of Iran to International Organizations.
Following the announcement, IAEA Director General Rafael Grossi traveled to Tehran with the aim of maintaining the IAEA's oversight position and trying to dissuade Iran from implementing the resolution, which was forced to sign a joint statement due to the country's determination to implement its decision. He emphasized the full implementation of the parliamentary resolution.
On the other hand, due to the continuation of the West's breach of the treaty, Iran on the deadline of March 26, the key to suspend the implementation of the Additional Protocol, which in the first reaction to the request of the European Troika to convene a P4 + 1 meeting with the US as a guest. There was no activation of "coercive diplomacy" by the West.
With a correct assessment of the true intentions of the Western parties to divert the path taken to realize their legal rights, as previously stated, the need to lift sanctions and verify them as a precondition for a return to its obligations and agree to Europe's request.
The rejection of the European Troika's irrational request was met with a heavy bluff from them to submit a draft anti-Iranian resolution to the IAEA Board of Governors.
Although EU foreign policy chief Joseph Borrell and most European countries opposed the move, the European Troika, directed by France, sought to force Iran to back down and accept the American scenario for fear of intimidating the JCPOA.
Although this bluff of the European troika did not work, they tried to sell the retreat to Iran as a concession and reciprocally demand concessions, while their inability to continue on this path was not a concession to Iran but out of compulsion due to determination. Iran was serious about realizing its rights, and of course, even if you work for the Security Council, it will not go anywhere because of the opposition of veto-wielding members of the Security Council.
On this side however, using some misguided pulses from within, the West tried to use the media atmosphere to persuade Iran, as the Irish Foreign Minister left for Tehran to mediate that Iran would enter into new negotiations without achieving its goals. And accept the demands of Europe and the United States.
The withdrawal of the European Troika from pursuing the adoption of an anti-Iranian resolution by the IAEA Board of Governors, as stated by the Iranian representative to the IAEA, is not in return for any concessions and is more of an opportunity for the Europeans to find a way out.
Today, as Iran's success in pushing the Western sides back from their unprincipled and extravagant positions becomes clearer, more than ever, the significant capabilities provided by the law of the Islamic Consultative Assembly to the diplomatic apparatus have been identified.
Certainly, the front-line soldiers of the country's diplomatic apparatus, as they have repeatedly emphasized, must be more determined than ever to make the most of the new opportunities created by "taking the full initiative" to bring the process of retreat one step closer. Accelerate the step of the Western parties and restore the lost rights of the Iranian nation by completely and comprehensively lifting the oppressive and inhumane sanctions.
