Will the Irish Minister for Foreign Affairs's mediation between Iran and the West work?

Countries seeking mediation should be aware that Western countries have been violating the JCPOA, so if their mediation is unconstitutional and has a legal conscience, the behavior of Western countries should be changed instead of asking Iran to curtail its rights and demands.

NOURNEWS - Following the so-called mediations between Iran and the JCPOA parties, the Irish Minister for Foreign Affairs Simon Coveney is scheduled to travel to Tehran tomorrow, Sunday, to meet with Iranian officials.

"Ireland is a supporter of JCPOA and is committed to maintaining close dialogue with all actors in its role as facilitator of the implementation of Security Council Resolution 2231 and to urging all parties to abide by the full agreement," he said in a statement.

Iran has always emphasized the principle of dialogue, but the role-playing of countries outside the JCPOA, on the one hand, must be based on logic and realism, and not with the aim of imposing Western aspirations, and on the other hand, the mediators should be aware of the principle that JCPOA is non-negotiable and no new members will be added.

The Islamic Republic, as well as being a good host for the IAEA Director General and representatives of countries such as Qatar, will also host the Irish Foreign Minister, but it is natural that it makes decisions based on its rights and interests.

Although Europe's action in the Board of Governors and their withdrawal from the anti-Iranian resolution, is considered a positive step, but the fact is that this action was not voluntary but forced and due to the internal space of the IAEA and Iran's behavior to prevent the scandal of their defeat.

On the other hand; the tripartite statement by the Europeans, as well as the remarks of US officials, who have once again called Iran a threat to global security and reiterated its opposition to Tehran, is another proof that the West has not changed its practical behavior. The statement showed that the idea in their minds is to force Iran to abandon all the nuclear, missile and regional rights.

On the other hand; although the performance of Europe and the United States in the Board of Governors is a seemingly positive step, in practice they have taken no action to lift the sanctions and have only used language, as Biden even extended the state of national emergency towards Iran once again.

Given these facts; The Irish Foreign Minister's visit can be successful if it is based on Iran's nuclear rights and the need to change the other side's behavior, and to consider the Iranian Parliament's decision on a practical strategy for lifting the sanctions.

According to this; countries seeking mediation should be aware that Western countries have been violating the JCPOA, so if their mediation is unconstitutional and has a legal conscience, the behavior of Western countries should be changed instead of asking Iran to curtail its rights and demands.

Making the West more committed to JCPOA's commitments to lift the sanctions and verifying them by Iran is the ultimate solution, and the Irish Foreign Minister has no choice but to try to change the West's behavior if he wants to succeed in registering as a successful mediator.
