Lebanon on the verge of a dark corridor!

The US barriers for the new government's formation seems to have been the main reason for the failure of Mustafa Adib's efforts in the cabinet formation process, as Washington, at the height of Emmanuel Macron's initiative, boycotted some Lebanese political figures, including members of the Amal movement. It practically disrupted the process of forming the cabinet.

NOURNEWS - The resignation of Mustafa Adib, the new Lebanese cabinet, from continuing consultations on the formation of a new Lebanese government, and the acceptance of this resignation by President Michel Aoun, indicates a delay in the formation of the Lebanese cabinet.

This delay will continue at least until after the US presidential election and the subsidence of the Washington-Tehran dispute after the November election results are announced, and will practically mean the defeat of the French initiative.

The current situation in Lebanon's political climate indicates that the country is entering a dangerous phase, which is compounded by the current and structural problems of Lebanon.

Among the many crises that Lebanon is currently grappling with are the power vacuum, the uneasy economic situation inherited from previous governments, the coronation virus monopoly, the central bank's currency crisis, fuel subsidies, flour and basic commodities. He pointed to the high prices and inflation, the crisis caused by the world's largest explosion in the port of Beirut and the ruins left by it, and so on.

The main reason for Mustafa Adib's failure to form a cabinet is said to be a dispute over the Ministry of Finance, a key ministry that has struggled with Mustafa Adib's opposition to a nominee for the ministry, and his frequent meetings with Hassan Khalil, Amal's main candidate for the ministry.

On the other hand; The US stone-throwing of the new government seems to have been the main reason for the failure of Mustafa Adib's efforts in the cabinet formation process, as Washington, at the height of Emmanuel Macron's initiative, boycotted some Lebanese political figures, including members of the Amal movement. It practically disrupted the process of forming the cabinet.

On the other hand; The Saudi king's recent remarks about the need to disarm the resistance and accuse Hezbollah and Iran of putting pressure on Lebanese political groups have effectively destroyed the paved paths for dialogue between political groups to form a cabinet.

In the current situation, although the French are still holding parliamentary consultations to elect a new candidate for the post of Lebanese Prime Minister, most Lebanese political leaders agree on the return of Saad Hariri to the Prime Minister's Palace and believe that in the current situation no one but him can There is no cabinet to be formed, and the speaker of the parliament, Nabih Berri, has promised to cooperate in solving the problem of electing the Ministry of Finance.

A look at the positions of influential political groups in Lebanese politics shows that the Amal movement, led by Nabih Berri, has promised to support the passage of laws needed for political reform in the country. Hezbollah, on the other hand, has stated its opposition to the US proposal to grant concessions on the delimitation of maritime borders at the request of the Zionist regime and the assignment of land borders on Shabaa farms.

During March 14, however, the situation is different. The current that in the 2018 parliamentary elections left the result to its rivals in the axis of resistance and never refused to accept defeat and obey the majority vote, is now not satisfied with anything but holding the parliamentary elections again and "Samir Geagea", the leader of the "Lebanese Forces" Said; "As long as the current majority rules the parliament, there is no hope for change!"

These contradictory views of the political currents indicate the difficult situation facing Lebanon. Lebanese politicians have to prepare for a new round of consultations to nominate a prime minister, whose value rose to 9,000 lira against the Lebanese lira yesterday, and the number of coronary patients has grown unexpectedly. Which means stepping Lebanon into a dark and endless corridor.
