Grossi in Tehran: I guarantee that there is no influence on the agency, but there is pressure!

During his visit to Tehran, the Director General of the International Atomic Energy Agency said: "The relationship between Iran and the IAEA is important." I guarantee that there is no influence on the IAEA, but there is pressure, which is also part of world politics. We do not allow pressures to affect us, as much as possible.

NOURNEWS - "Rafael Grossi," Director General of the International Atomic Energy Agency in Tehran, said in a joint press conference after meeting with Ali Akbar Salehi, President of the Atomic Energy Organization of Iran: "During my tenure at the IAEA, I will not allow anyone misuse the agency for its own purposes."
He added: "Iran is one of the places where various inspections have been carried out, but there are cases that need transparency and no change has been made in the IAEA approach. Our cooperation is constructive and interactive."
"I have no political leanings and the IAEA oversight is based on technical issues," said Grossi, who is accused of having political leanings in the management of the agency.
Noting that the IAEA has an individual relationship with countries, he said: "No third country can affect the IAEA's relations with countries."
The Director General of the International Atomic Energy Agency stated: All reports published by the IAEA are published systematically and with special sensitivity. Governments go, but it's the agency that stays.
Regarding bilateral relations with the Islamic Republic of Iran, Grossi said: "The relationship between Iran and the IAEA is important." I guarantee that there is no influence in the agency, but there is pressure. This is also part of world politics. As much as we can, we do not allow pressures to affect us.
Regarding Saudi nuclear activities, he said: "I hope that the IAEA will be able to monitor Saudi Arabia's nuclear activities as well."
According to many international legal and technical experts, the International Atomic Energy Agency's treatment of Iran during Rafael Grossi's tenure has shifted from a legal-technical to a political one.
