A relationship with the East does not mean ignoring the West

Last night, Lebanese Hezbollah Secretary-General Seyyed Hassan Nasrallah made a speech in honor of anniversary of 33-day war on Lebanese civil and international crisis.

NORNEWS - At the beginning of his speech, the Secretary General of Hezbollah in Lebanon mentioned the defeat of Israel by recalling the 33-day war at the beginning of his speech and commemorating the martyrs of this war.

Referring to the economic situation in Lebanon, he said that the assessment of the economic situation should be a national assessment and subject to the efforts of all Lebanese, and even those living in Lebanon. What is currently happening in Lebanon requires public commitment, cooperation and solidarity.

Nasrallah went on to recall his earlier speech on the need to look to the East: "This does not mean that we should cut ties with the West." Apart from the Zionist regime, Lebanon can establish relations with other countries as needed.

Hezbollah's secretary general went on to point out the views of some on the relationship with the West: "Some have tried to move the issue of looking to the West elsewhere; Some say the West is oxygen for us. We did not ask you to release this oxygen, but what should we do if the Westerners cut off this oxygen from us?

He called some people's perceptions of the relationship with Iran incorrect, adding: "Some people think that we are trying to implement the Iranian model in Lebanon, but we only asked Iran to help us." This is a favor from Iran when Iran sells oil to us in lira instead of dollars, and it allows the government to keep its dollar reserves.

Nasrallah praised Iran's resistance to sanctions, saying: "Iran has resisted sanctions for forty years, but in Lebanon we have seen that some people are in a hurry to surrender to the United States as soon as sanctions and threats are lifted." "We do not intend to turn Lebanon into another country."

He added that some say that in order to get out of the current situation, we should go to the International Monetary Fund. We said that there is no obstacle, but that does not mean that we should abandon other options. Sayyed Hassan Nasrallah said that the possible routes that prevent economic collapse and famine in Lebanon should be pursued in Lebanon and should not be limited to one.

Hezbollah's secretary general described the recent economic and financial situation in Lebanon as the most dangerous and said that the threat had targeted the Lebanese nation and government, but that the Lebanese could turn the threat into an opportunity and take appropriate action. Lebanon must become a producer.

Emphasizing the need to change Lebanon's economic model, he said: "Lebanon's economic and financial situation is dangerous and this will be a threat to the Lebanese people and government, but the Lebanese can turn this threat into an opportunity and take the right measures." The Lebanese government and people are moving in this direction.

Sayyed Hassan Nasrallah pointed to US interference in Lebanon's internal affairs and said: "It is the Lebanese government that determines its fate, not the visit of the United States or its Secretary of State." We are attacked every day, and this American ambassador comes and speaks against us. More dangerous than this is his meeting with political Rehman in Lebanon and their incitement against Hezbollah.

He called on the Lebanese people not to remain silent about the US ambassador's remarks against the resistance.

Hezbollah's secretary general described the Lebanese judge's (Mohammad Mazeh's) move to ban the Lebanese media interview with the US ambassador in Beirut as courageous and honorable, and said that instead of interviewing the Lebanese media and attacking Hezbollah and attacking Hezbollah, the US ambassador Look at the crimes that the United States has committed in the countries of the region. You support Israeli terrorism and Takfiri terrorism in the region; Therefore, we recommend that you know your limits and respect yourself.

At the end of his speech, Seyyed Hassan Nasrallah referred to the Zionist regime's plan to occupy the West Bank and said that the Lebanese's preoccupation with their economic situation should not cause the Lebanese to neglect to support the Palestinians and stand by them to counter the occupied plan to join the West Bank.
