NOURNEWS - Behrouz Kamalvandi, referring to the incident on Thursday at the Shahid Ahmadi Roshan Complex (Natanz) and the actions taken by the Atomic Energy Organization after the incident, said: Let's know the incident and see how much damage we have suffered and how we can finally rebuild this complex and compensate for the damage.
A spokesman for the Atomic Energy Organization said: "We were aware at first that fortunately there were no casualties, but the financial losses were significant.
He added: "As the Secretariat of the Supreme National Security Council announced, the country's security authorities now know the cause of the accident, but due to security concerns, they do not intend to talk about it at this time."
Regarding the specifications of the shed where the accident took place, Kamalvandi said: "The construction of this shed started in 2013, and Dr. Salehi's opinion was that the advanced machines should be set up and equipped for the final work." In 2015, the construction of this shed was completed, which was not completed due to the JCPOA debate.
A spokesman for the Atomic Energy Organization said more samples of advanced centrifugal machines were to be produced at the shed.
After the withdrawal of the United States from JCPOA and the order of the Supreme Leader to the Atomic Energy Organization to create the necessary ground for the production of 190,000 tons (within the framework of Borjam), exactly two days after this order, on June 7, 2016, Opened.
Of course, the complex did not work at full capacity due to JCPOA's restrictions, while the completion of the hall was considered as much as possible, which was underway until the day of the accident.
He said: "The equipment in this hall was measuring equipment and precision instruments, part of which was destroyed and another part was damaged as a result of this accident." Due to the type of equipment, even if the accident was smaller, it could no longer be used.
Kamalvandi continued: "Immediately after the incident, security forces and relevant experts arrived at the scene and began sampling and preliminary investigations."
In these security investigations, a significant portion of the case is managed by the Supreme National Security Council. On the same day of the accident, Dr. Salehi, the head of the Atomic Energy Organization, informed the experts and managers of the organization that the reconstruction work of the hall should start as soon as possible.
A spokesman for the Atomic Energy Organization said that decisions to rebuild the shed had been made to the relevant authorities. What has been decided and its plans have been determined over the course of two or three days in several sessions is that the shed will be built on a larger scale and more advanced equipment will be used there. In this regard, the necessary decisions have been made and reflected to the relevant authorities, and these authorities also support the issue.
Emphasizing that this incident does not cause any interruption in the enrichment work of Iran, Kamalvandi said: "This incident may create delays in the medium-term plan for the development and production of advanced machinery." Insha'Allah, we will compensate in such a way that even more capacities will be created on this site than before. Our colleagues are determined to do their best in this regard.
The Deputy Chairman of the Atomic Energy Organization stated: A few hours ago, Dr. Salehi held meetings with the officials of the organization and had the necessary recommendations, and the necessary initial measures for reconstruction are being carried out.
He reminded: in the field of reconstruction of the damaged shed, two processes of creating facilities and providing equipment in parallel and in the width should be on the agenda. In fact, at the same time as the construction of the facility, we must also follow up on the supply of equipment and expand the scope of work.
A spokesman for the Atomic Energy Organization said: "In the medium term, this incident may cause a slowdown or interruption in the work of the organization, but we will certainly do our best to compensate for this interruption by working around the clock and supporting different sectors and allocating budgets and facilities and political support."
