NOURNEWS - Explaining the objectives of the important exercise of "Muslim Kurdish Martyrs' Authority" in the Kurdistan Region, Brigadier-General Pakpour, the commander of the IRGC's ground forces, announced the targeting of terrorist hideouts and bases in the areas around the exercise and said: "In previous years, these operations were carried out with the aim of clearing the region of terrorists and miscreants, and in fact, the counter-revolution and their supporters have realized that we do not agree with anyone on the security of the country and the Iranian nation."
He added: "The area of the exercise is connected to the northern border of Iraq, and some terrorists may use this geography and be present in the area. Therefore, one of the most important goals of this exercise is to cleanse these areas of the filth of terrorists."
Emphasizing that we will attack any place where terrorists are present, organized and deployed, Pakpour added: "In 2018 and 2019, the terrorist center in Mount Sanjak and headquarters on the border with Iraq were attacked by IRGC missiles, drones and artillery."
Emphasizing that we will continue to cleanse the region of terrorists with power, he implied: "This year, too, we will respond decisively to any move made by terrorists."
He continued: "Officials in the northern Iraqi region and officials in the friendly and brotherly government of Iraq must have more control over their borders and take action to eliminate the grounds for terrorist groups to exploit these areas."
In the end, the commander of the IRGC's ground forces emphasized that we also advise the dear people and nomads of northern Iraq to reject the elements of the terrorist groups around them. And if they are not able to do so, they should stay away from them, because every base and base related to terrorists is at the center of our goals.
