Letter from 230 Members of Parliament to the Supreme Leader of the Revolution about Espionage through Infiltration

In a letter to the Supreme Leader of the Islamic Revolution, a group of members of the Islamic Consultative Assembly stated: "Many of the goals of the infiltration are achieved not through multiple espionage, but by overcoming the patterns of imported and liberal development of capitalism."

NOURNEWS - Ruhollah Motafkar Azad, a member of the presidium of the Islamic Consultative Assembly, read out a letter to 230 members of parliament in a public session of parliament today (Tuesday, June 23, 2020).

The full text of this letter is as follows:

Letter from 230 esteemed members of the Islamic Consultative Assembly, with its signature, in the presence of his eminence, Supreme Leader Ayatollah Khamenei.

Peace be upon you;

His Excellency's diligence and sensitivity in the field of development and progress patterns is not hidden from anyone, and he has always emphasized the Islamic and Iranian identity and revolutionary justice as inseparable features of the desired progress; On the other hand, many of the goals of the infiltration process are achieved not through multiple espionage, but through the formulation of imported and liberal development models of capitalism.

Mashhad Reza, as the cultural hub of the Islamic world and the spiritual capital of Iran, has been one of the centers of challenge between the advanced Iranian-Islamic model and the patterns of development minus identity and justice.

The strict and complete implementation of the explicit and written orders of the Supreme Leader in 2007 addressed to the then governor could have prevented the widespread violation of the religious and legal rights of a large population of the neighbors of the holy shrine of Razavi during the last thirteen years, and prevent the plundering of spiritual identity around the holy shrine of Imam Reza (AS) and damage the public trust and social capital of the system.  It is worth mentioning that this current of damage, which has caused environmental problems, has also threatened the spiritual capital of the country, despite the warnings and explicit prohibitions of His Holiness.

Unfortunately, in recent months, the careless or deliberate increase of some elements, centers, and resistances to the legal decision of the Supreme Council of Urban Planning and Architecture threatens the light of hope that has been illuminated to correct some of the abuses of the past two decades.

Resisting the lawbreakers, who seek to bend the law and increase their illegal powers, and to perpetuate the patterns of useless development and protect the interests of a few, to the detriment of the public and to deny the civilized identity of Mashhad, will be reaffirmed by His Majesty's enlightening menus.

We, the members of the 11th parliament, who consider correcting the wrong trends and strengthening the discourse of the Islamic Revolution in policy-making and monitoring the country's affairs, as the existential philosophy of this parliament, We ask Your Excellency to guide and protect your people in following your menus and concerns in this matter and reviewing the context of the Razavi shrine in order to strengthen the Iranian Islamic identity of the spiritual capital of the country and realizing the rights of neighbors and pilgrims of this holy city and follow up on the violations and criminality of the law and the evasions that have taken place.
