An open letter from Iranian students in Iran to the people of the United States

We would also like to highlight that in the past two weeks, the world has witnessed how the US, a so-called superpower and self-appointed “leader of the Free World”, plunged furthermore into chaos, turmoil and tyranny. The world saw shocking images of how easily and quickly the US - which seeks to portray itself as “world police” – can descend into flames of division and discord itself.

NOURNEWS - A group of Iranian students, wrote and sent an open letter to American people, regarding to the past weeks events in The United States. The letter goes as follow:

"Contrary to what the media may say, we have nothing against the American people and we would like to sincerely extend our solidarity to all victims of police brutality, racism and the shocking violence and looting which has plagued the US specifically in the past two weeks. We sincerely hope that your pain may be relieved and that the people of the US may achieve the dignified lives that they deserve.

In effect, the people of the US have only briefly experienced a small glimpse of what many nations have suffered under US global tyranny for years. The sheer brutality of the police, its double standards and targeting of peaceful protesters was only hardly reminiscent of the tens of thousands of innocent civilians who have been killed by US military operations in the Middle East.

The looting and destruction brought upon many neighborhoods and businesses by unlawful agent provocateurs during recent protests in the US may also have in itself a mere symbolic similarity to the inestimable amount of destruction and looting the US has conducted in states and nations of our region with its military operations and sanctions.

While reiterating our solidarity for the American people and their struggle against institutional tyranny, racism and corruption, we stress that your pain is, quite sincerely, just a fraction of the pain and troubles inflicted by your government on the peoples of the world.

We, therefore, stand united with you in your cause to hold the US government accountable for its crimes, as hundreds of thousands, if not millions of innocent lives, have been destroyed around the world due to the actions of your leaders.

Sincerely,
A group of Iranian students in Iran"
