It doesn't matter how the ceremony is held, the main issue is to talk about the Imam. The great Imam is alive among us for many years even after his apparent death, and he must survive within us, and we will benefit from his presence, spirituality, thought, and moral compass.
- Today I want to discuss an important feature of the characteristics of the great Imam, he was an extraordinary man with outstanding qualities, but the feature that we are discussing today is the spirit of asking for change and that is his most important feature.
- Imam Khomeini had the spirit of asking for change, His role was not just that of a teacher, his role was that of a commander in the field of operations and a true leader.
- The Imam made the greatest changes in his time and made changes in many fields and regions.
- Imam created big change among the Iranian nation, not only in a manner of speaking. From spiritual transformation in a collection of young students in Qom to large-scale transformation in the general Iranian nation. The issue of Qom is the lesson of his ethics, which had a moral lesson and session decades before the beginning of the movement, except for the lessons of jurisprudence and principles and reason. It was narrated that when he had a meeting once a week at Faizieh School, his speeches changed the heart of the meeting. Of course, we have seen this in the lessons of jurisprudence and principles.
- What is certain is that this movement and the stimulation of spiritual instincts through moral lessons and reminding and preparing hearts was the method of our great Imam.
- Imam literally revolutionized the Iranian nation. Before the Imam's movement, there were struggles, but their field of work led to a maximum of a number of students. For example, when the Revolutionary Guards was formed, he accepted the youth of the age of twenty at the head of the Revolutionary Guards. In other areas, too, he had a strange trust in young people. The fact that some people think that youthfulness means removing the elders from the scene altogether was not what the Imam thought. For example, at the same time that I was elected to lead the Friday prayers in Tehran, Ayatollah Ashrafi or Ayatollah Dastgheib were also appointed to the Friday prayers and they were senior at that time.
- So when we say that the Imam trusted the youth and we also believe that the youth should be trusted, it means that this is a strength of country and we should use it. It does not mean not using other than the youth.
- A change in the view of world powers and superpowers; At that time, no one thought that anything could be done against the will of the United States. Imam Khomeini caused the US leaders at that time to admit that Khomeini had humiliated them. Imam Khomeini proved that superpowers can be broken and beaten. You saw how the USSR collapsed, and you can see the status of the US today
- Khomeini was an Imam of change but believed all this to be from God. He saw the spiritual evolution of the youth as God’s doing
- Khomeini was an Imam of change. We must learn from the Imam, Every living and dynamic society needs change. Today we need change. After the demise of the Imam. Society has not moved away from the evolutionary approach, and we have evolved in various fields, and we have become more powerful than in the past, and in some cases more vibrant. This scientific transformation is no small thing. Today, in science or in defense, it is actually close to deterrence. Or in the field of politics, the Islamic Republic has shown its greatness in the world.
- In important cases, we did not change, and in some cases, unfortunately, we had a setback, which is contrary to the nature of the revolution. The revolution must be innovative and progressive. The opposite of revolution is reaction, and both the progression of revolution and regression depend on the meaning of reaction to human will.
- We are able to create various civilizations in the country and the system of change. My expectation from myself and from the youth and the elite is that you think about making a difference in the areas we need. Transformation is the point, if we want change to happen in the true sense of the word, we have to pay attention to it.
- Transformationalism does not necessarily mean protest, but it does mean a positive tendency to improve, although in some cases it may be the source of the protest against the status quo, but this is not necessarily the case. So transformation means the desire to accelerate and jump in motion and to avoid petrification and insistence on wrong aspects.
- The second point is that proper change requires intellectual support. Some light and superficial movements cannot be accounted for. Today, we must make a difference in the field of justice, in which there must be a change. This requires intellectual support on the basis of which we seek change. If there is no intellectual backing, this transformation will be wrong and it will not take the right step, and then it will not insist on that change. We had cases in the revolution where some people were very revolutionary, but because their intellectual foundations did not have a rational argument, after a while they became the thing that the Islamic Revolution was to fight against the same category.
- Another point is that change should not be confused with intellectual transformation. During the Pahlavi regime, something called modernity entered the country, which was considered a transformation. This was not a change, but a transformation of the Iranian nation to gain Iran's national identity. The modernization introduced by Reza Khan during the Pahlavi regime and with the support of some intellectuals of that time, alienated the Iranian nation from its true identity. Even if nations lose their identity, they will actually suffer a civilized death.
- Transformation is not necessarily instant, but may occur gradually. If the sign of our progress is correct, it is okay for us to reach it slowly, and we should not be impatient. In the gradual evolutionary movement, we must have a guiding hand above this transformation, which must be led by safe and reliable hands.
- Transformation should not be confused with a series of superficial works. Change is a profound and fundamental thing that needs to happen, speed is important, of course, but speed is different from acceleration.
- There is a list of areas that needed to be changed; For example, in the economy of transformation, we are able to separate the umbilical cord of the country's economy from oil, and this is a transformation. Or in the context of government budgeting, the government and parliament should close the budget in such a way that it monitors the issue, the problem and the performance, that is, the operational budget. Of course, it is often claimed that the budget is operational, but there is a gap. Or we need to change in terms of education. The evolution of education is to make academic, high school, and even elementary education practical, not memorized. Some courses are taught in our schools and universities, which will be of no use to anyone who reads them for the rest of their lives. In the field of education, if we want to create change, in the true sense of the word, is to make the lesson useful and profound.
- Definitely solving problems such as addiction, or family issues, need to change. Reliable news and reports tell us that our country is moving towards aging, which is very horrible news and is one of the things that will be revealed later.
- Another issue is hostility; One of the main features in introducing transformation is that one should not fear enemies and criticism, that there is an extensive front established by foreign enemies that try to stop any positive transformation in the country by using massive propaganda in the hand of Zionists.

The crime committed against this black man is the same thing the US govt has been doing against all the world. They have done the same in Afghanistan, Iraq, Syria, Vietnam, and many other countries of the world. This is the US govt’s nature and character that is being exposed today. The people’s slogan of #ICantBreathe, which can be heard in the massive protests throughout the US, is the heartfelt words of all nations against which the US has committed many atrocities. The US govt was disgraced due to its behavior. The corona outbreak started later in the US than other countries, they benefitted from other nations’ experience, and they could have prepared, but they failed to manage Corona properly due to the corruption of their govt.
- Today, the American people feel ashamed and embarrassed of their governments, and those who are in our country or some Iranians who are abroad whose job is to support and embellish the United States, will not raise their heads today.
