I am Ashamed to Have Trump be President of the United States of America: Michigan Attorney General

Michigan's AG Dana Nessel responded to Donald Trump's failure to follow health guidelines to prevent the coronavirus from spreading during his visit to a manufacturing plant.

NOURNEWS- Trump refused to wear a mask during his visit to a Ford plant in Michigan while everyone wore a face mask, CNN reported on Friday

Dana Nessel, told CNN that she would enforce Democratic Michigan Gov. Gretchen Whitmer's executive order that requires anyone who is medically able to wear a facial covering when in an enclosed space. As a result, Nessel had previously threatened legal action against "any company or any facility that allows him inside those facilities and puts our workers at risk."

Ford said it had shared its safety policies with the White House -- including that everyone wear a mask "in all facilities, at all times" -- but added that "the White House has its own safety and testing policies in place and will make its own determination."

Michigan voters remember Trump's mistakes

"I am ashamed to have him be President of the United States of America," the Michigan Attorney General told CNN.

"And I hope that the voters of Michigan will remember this when November comes, that he didn't care enough about their safety, he didn't care about their welfare, he didn't respect them enough just to engage in the very simple task, the painless task, the easy task of wearing a mask when he was provided one."

"And so I hope that we'll have a new president soon enough who does respect people more than this president does," she continued.

While many experts and observers have criticized the actions of Donald Trump and his administration in the face of the Coronavirus epidemic, according CNN Trump continues to avoid wearing a face mask that could prevent 50 percent of coronavirus infections, as he has tried to downplay the coronavirus epidemic from the beginning

Currently, the number of people infected with the coronavirus in the world has exceeded 5,190,000, of which more than 334,000 have died.

Coronavirus infected more than 1.5 million people in the United States and killed nearly 95,000.
