NOURNEWS- Admiral Ali Shamkhani, Representative of the Supreme Leader and Secretary of the Iran Supreme National Security Council, this afternoon in a telephone conversation with Hamdollah Moheb, National Security Advisor to the President of Afghanistan, Congratulated on the important step in stabilizing and establishing a strong government in the Islamic Republic of Afghanistan.
Emphasizing the permanent policy of the Islamic Republic of Iran in supporting the consolidation of the government resulting from the people's vote in Afghanistan, Mr. Shamkhani said: "The start of comprehensive inter-Afghan talks is another necessary step that is very important in maintaining the achievements of the great Afghan people, including the republic and the constitution."
He emphasized the need to focus on government of Afghanistan, and said that it was even more important now in all the peace negotiations in Afghanistan.
Referring to the spread of corona in various countries, including Afghanistan, the Secretary of the Supreme National Security Council added: "Iran is ready to provide health and medical assistance to the Afghan brothers and sisters for free, as in the past."
Expressing regret over the tragic death of a group of Afghan citizens in the border region of the two countries, Mr. Shamkhani said: "While the Iranian border guards have not played any role in the formation of this tragic incident, the heavy and indecent news atmosphere created by some officials and the Afghan media is surprising and unfortunate.
He added: "There is indisputable evidence to refute the allegations made against Iran that, if the Afghan side so wishes, can be investigated by a joint fact-finding committee, independent of non-constructive spaces."
Hamdollah Moheb, National Security Advisor to the President of Afghanistan, praised the decisive role of the Islamic Republic of Iran in the agreement reached between Ghani and Abdullah and added that they do not let non-constructive spaces and propaganda affect, firm and intimate relation of two nations.
He described the problem of unauthorized traffic on the common border as an old challenge and expressed hope that the tragedy would be an opportunity to find a lasting solution.
Hamdallah Moheb, referring to the problems caused by the border forces due to the evacuation of some border checkpoints by Afghan forces, added: "Afghanistan is ready to cooperate with the Iranian side in cooperation with the Ministry of Foreign Affairs to reach out a final solution for border checkpoint .”
