NOURNEWS- The office of Iraqi Prime Minister Mustafa al-Kazemi said in a statement that Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan had made a telephone call to Mustafa al-Kazemi, stressing his country's readiness to support Iraq in the political, security and economic fields.
During the telephone conversation, the Turkish president said he wanted to travel to Iraq as soon as possible to discuss ways to strengthen bilateral relations within the framework of the agreements reached and mutual respect for sovereignty and territorial integrity between the two countries.
In this regard, Mustafa al-Kazemi, while thanking and appreciating Erdogan's congratulations, stressed that Iraq is committed to establishing stronger relations with its neighbor, Turkey, based on mutual trust and respect.
The Iraqi Prime Minister and the Turkish President discussed the issue of the two countries' share of water, ways to strengthen trade and investment, the role of Turkish companies in energy and construction, ways to facilitate the flow of citizens between the two countries, and coordination between Turkey and Iraq. The crisis of the coronavirus outbreak was discussed.
