US-Taliban peace agreement on the verge of collapse

Disagreements between the Afghan government and Washington over how to deal with the Taliban with terrorist attacks last week have peaked.

NOURNEWS- Terrorist attacks in Kabul and Nangarhar last Tuesday that killed and wounded scores of Afghan citizens have exacerbated differences between the Afghan government and Washington over how to deal with the Taliban.

While the United States denies involvement of the Taliban in the attacks, Kabul blames the Taliban for the operation.

The Afghan government, which believes the United States is seeking to acquit the Taliban in order to protect the peace agreement between the Taliban and Washington, is urging Zalmai Khalilzad to join ISIL in the attacks on Kabul and Nangarhar.

Disagreements between the Afghan government and the United States escalated when the Afghan president ordered the country's military to withdraw from defensive conditions and launch offensive operations against terrorist groups after Tuesday's terrorist attacks.
