The Iraqi parliament has called for the closure of the Saudi network's office due to insults to Abu Mahdi

Due to the insult to the Saudi MBC network, the deputy chairman of the Al-Hashd al-Shabi organization, the Communications and Information Commission of the Iraqi parliament, emphasized that the office of this network should be closed.

NOURNEWS- The Iraqi Parliament's Communications and Information Commission called for the closure of the Saudi MBC network.

"Over the past years, the network has insulted Iraqi personalities in various ways, and the work has reached a point where it accuses a nationalist and militant figure such as Martyr Haj Abu Abu Mahdi al-Mohandes," the commission said in a statement.

Al-Mohandes is a man who "sacrificed his life for jihad and the fight against the Ba'athist regime, ISIS terrorist groups and the evil and occupying forces," Al-Ahd News Agency reported, quoting the commission.

The commission stressed that the network's office should be closed if the Saudi network does not apologize for its politeness to Martyr Al-Mohandes and its deliberate misguidance.

"We must stand firm in the face of the continuing insult to our national symbols by news organizations whose funding and political and sectarian tendencies are clear," the commission said.

At the end of the statement, it was emphasized that as long as malicious and vindictive plans continue to tarnish the image of Iraq's national symbols, which fought against the forces of global arrogance, Martyr Al-Mohandes will be a beacon that will shine in history.

Abu Mahndi al-Mohandes and General Qassem Soleimani, commander of the Quds Force of the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps of Iran, were killed in a US airstrike at Baghdad airport in January 2017.

The Iraqi parliament also approved the expulsion of foreign troops, especially American terrorists, in response to the criminal aggression. Iraqi political factions are now urging new Iraqi Prime Minister Mustafa al-Kazemi to implement the resolution as soon as possible.
