NOURNEWS- A source in the Afghan presidential palace said: "Abdullah Abdullah, the former chief executive of the Afghan government, no longer challenges or vetoes decisions by Afghan officials, and President Ashraf Ghani is recognized by him.
According to the source, Abdullah will play a leading role in the peace process, and his role within the government will be announced later.
Both Ashraf Ghani and Abdullah Abdullah considered themselves president of Afghanistan after the controversial presidential election last September.
Ashraf Ghani was forced to agree with Abdullah, who will now be in charge of half of the posts in the cabinet.
The informed source at the Presidential Palace also said that the two sides are expected to sign a power sharing agreement in the coming days.
