NOURNEWS- An Iraqi official has announced the continuation of dangerous ISIS movements in Diyala province.
"Al-Shabaab has set fire to agricultural products," said Mehdi al-Shammari, head of the Canaan region, 20 kilometers east of Baquba in Diyala province. More than 40 acres of wheat fields in the village of Sekuk, near the Canaan area of Diyala province, were set on fire last night.
He added: "ISIS has set fire to wheat fields." This is the first fire of its kind in the Canaan region, which has vast wheat fields.
On the other hand, Iraqi sources reported an ISIS attack on a fire brigade sent to extinguish a fire on an agricultural farm near the village of Tawakul on the outskirts of al-Maqdadiyah in Diyala province. They were injured.
Wheat farms in different parts of Diyala province have been set on fire in recent weeks. The remnants of the ISIS terrorist group appear to have used dirty tactics to damage Iraq's economy by setting fire to wheat fields. The consequences of this Takfiri action are appalling because, in addition to further reducing food resources, these areas will be uninhabited, given that farmers do not have the crops to feed themselves for a year and hope to re-cultivate.
