Self-government meeting to announce strategies

As the plan to annex parts of the West Bank intensified, the head of the Palestinian Authority called for the formation of a committee to develop strategies to counter the plan.

NOURNEWS- Palestinian Authority President Mahmoud Abbas called for the formation of a joint committee of members of the Executive Committee of the Palestine Liberation Organization (PLO) and the Central Committee of the Fatah Movement to devise strategies to respond to the West's decision to annex parts of the West Bank. Some called the committee a "cancellation of agreements" with the Zionist regime.

Izam al-Ahmad, a member of the Joint Committee, said the committee would soon convene to consider further action. The Joint Committee will submit its proposals for approval to the Executive Committee because of the decisions that will be taken, as they will naturally have huge economic, political and security implications.

Informed sources in the Palestinian Authority said that statements about the cancellation of all agreements between Palestine and the Zionist regime in the political, economic and security fields and the suspension of recognition of the "State of Israel" and taking such measures means the possibility of the collapse of the Palestinian Authority. .

Al-Ahmad said that if the accession plan is implemented, the agreements will have to be canceled because it would destroy any possibility of success in the negotiations on the formation of a Palestinian state.

He added: "In our view, the United States is responsible for Netanyahu's actions and decisions, which are expected to be implemented with the encouragement of the United States and to refute all legitimate international resolutions."

The Palestinians fear that the new Zionist regime will immediately implement the plan to annex the Al-Aghwar region and the West Bank towns, a plan that will govern more than two-thirds of the West Bank.

In this regard, Mahmoud Abbas said at the meeting of the Executive Committee of the Palestine Liberation Organization: "We have rejected the plan of the century deal and we are waiting to see what happens." Today, we say that as soon as Israel announces the approval of the accession plan, we will take appropriate measures, and these actions will be not only against Israel but also against the United States, because the United States is the one who decided to implement this project.

Abbas also sent various messages to world leaders stating that if the Zionist regime announces the annexation of any part of Palestinian territory, it would be a cancellation of the signed agreements and clear principles between the two sides, followed by all Agreements and understandings between the Palestine Liberation Organization, the Zionist regime and the United States will be annulled.

In addition, Saeb Ariqat, Secretary of the Executive Committee of the Palestine Liberation Organization, said that the Palestinian Authority will hold an important meeting on Thursday chaired by Mahmoud Abbas to announce its plans and strategies in response to the Zionist regime's plans to annex the West Bank. Did.

Ariqat blamed the US government for all the consequences of the Zionist regime's move to join the West Bank, saying the remarks of US Ambassador to occupied Palestine David Friedman regarding the annexation of the West Bank and the conditions for the formation of a Palestinian state were unprecedented. Encourages violence, killings and settlement in Palestinian lands.

He stressed that the US team, of which Friedman is one, is seeking to create new realities in the Occupied Palestinian Territories, and that Washington has made 47 decisions against Palestinians over the past two years, including moving its embassy to Jerusalem and closing offices in Washington. Stopping its financial aid to Anroa and removing the case of Palestinian refugees.
