NOURNEWS - Politics Group: Following the efforts of the Islamic Republic of Iran to help stabilize the political situation in the Islamic Republic of Afghanistan to start inter-Afghan talks, on Tuesday evening, Foreign Minister Mohammad Javad Zarif and Mohammad Ashraf Ghani and Abdullah Abdullah spoke by telephone.
During the telephone call, Zarif congratulated the government and people of Afghanistan on the occasion of the holy month of Ramadan, and spoke about their latest regional and international consultations on Afghanistan, bilateral relations and the fight against the spread of corona.
Zarif recently met with Ghani and Abdullah on April 7 to discuss the political situation in Afghanistan.
The political situation in Kabul has worsened since the presidential election in Afghanistan, with both candidates vowing to win the oath of office so that Afghanistan can now face two parallel governments.
About two months have passed since the peace agreement between the Taliban and the United States was reached, tensions in Afghanistan have continued, and criticism of Washington over its disregard for the central government has intensified.
