Iran’s team of Nasrin Shahi, Seyyed Mohammadreza Mirshafiei and Sareh Javanmardi scored 1,596 points to finish third behind South Korea and China.
In the individual event, Shahi advanced to the final after finishing second in the qualifying round with 543 points. She scored 139.6 points in the final to place sixth. Mirshafiei, Javanmardi and Mostafa Khadem, who scored 530, 523, and 510 points, respectively, failed to advance to the final.
The Changwon championships marked the end of Iran’s campaign, with the country securing four medals: a team gold, an individual gold, an individual silver, and a team bronze.
Faezah Ahmadi also secured a quota place for the 2028 Paralympic Games in Los Angeles.
Iran competed under the name of martyr Mohammad Fattahi, with Fathollah Delfani Khan as head coach, assisted by coaches Zeinab Amini-Tabar and Zahra Ahmadi, and Dr. Nasiri as team manager.
