‌How Did Trump Escape Turkey? When the U.S. President Hid in a Food-Service Truck

A U.S. media outlet has revealed details of an unprecedented security operation to secretly evacuate Donald Trump from Turkey following a NATO summit — an operation reportedly carried out over fears of an assassination attempt, during which Trump was hidden in a food-service truck.

Nournews: The Washington Post reported that Trump was secretly flown out of Ankara last month following the NATO summit because of a threat attributed to Iran. He reportedly departed aboard a U.S. Air Force C-32A aircraft, while the White House publicly maintained that the U.S. president was traveling aboard the official presidential aircraft, Air Force One.

According to the report, Trump initially boarded a Boeing 747 in front of media cameras at Ankara's Esenboğa Airport. However, that aircraft was not the actual flight involved in the operation. Trump was later secretly transferred to a C-32A aircraft using an airport food-service truck.

The Boeing 747 subsequently departed the airport while reporters and some White House staff believed that Trump was still on board. The aircraft continued using the AF1 call sign, helping maintain the appearance that the U.S. president was traveling aboard Air Force One.

Trump's Secret Flight Aboard a C-32A

The Washington Post reported that the C-32A carrying Trump operated under the military call sign “RCH18,” while some systems that could have been used to publicly track the aircraft had also been switched off.

Meanwhile, the 747, which served as a decoy, continued on its flight, leading reporters and other observers to believe that the U.S. president was still aboard.

Trump and U.S. Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth also traveled to Britain separately. The aircraft carrying Trump eventually landed at RAF Mildenhall in the United Kingdom.

After arriving at the base, Trump was transferred back to Air Force One and remained aboard the aircraft before appearing in front of the cameras. According to the report, the move was intended to preserve the impression that the U.S. president had traveled all the way from Turkey to Britain aboard the official presidential aircraft.
