Unfortunately, some people have little understanding of the gravity of the current situation. They neither understand Iranian society nor the world beyond our borders. Day after day, they inject doubt into the public discourse, souring the national mood and preventing society from recognizing what has been achieved.
The collective conscience of the Iranian people views the understanding that has been reached—and the path that led to it—as one that serves Iran's interests. Up to this point in the confrontation, we have emerged victorious. Donald Trump, despite all his ambitions to bring about Iran's collapse, gain control over its oil and territory, and force the nation into submission, has failed. Israel, too, has become more discredited than ever on the international stage, while those who spent years promoting war and destruction for Iran now find themselves more helpless than ever.
Iran has emerged with greater dignity and credibility, while its adversaries have lost both legitimacy and standing. For the first time in confronting major global powers, Iranian society has neither lost an inch of its territory nor surrendered. The government has remained energetic, resolute, and committed to serving Iran and its people. The armed forces continue to defend the country with honor and strength. Meanwhile, the society that Iran's enemies believed would collapse within the first days of the crisis instead stood faithfully beside its homeland—both inside and outside the country—becoming one of the most important pillars of Iran's national power.
We have been victorious because Iran stood firm, the government did not fall apart, and the concept of the nation-state manifested itself in its highest form.
My dear brother, President Pezeshkian,
After placing your trust in God, keep your eyes on this society. I know you hear the quiet concerns, the unspoken anxieties, and the aspirations of different segments of the people. I know you are determined to defend the rights of those who resisted yet still wish to live—people who deserve to reclaim their fundamental right to a decent life, peace, and a secure future from those who have imposed sanctions and undermined their livelihoods, just as you defended the country's territorial integrity.
Today someone anxiously asked me, "What if President Pezeshkian breaks under all this pressure and hostility?" I replied, "Never."
Those who now attack him so recklessly speak neither with wisdom nor political insight. Their concerns bear no resemblance to the struggles of a worker who has gone unpaid for months. They understand neither Iran's history, nor the complexities of foreign policy, nor even the meaning of victory—and they certainly do not understand President Pezeshkian.
As someone who has been engaged in the major crises of recent decades, I have witnessed countless instances of empty rhetoric, baseless accusations, and misguided certainty.
I witnessed reason prevailing over such thinking during the First Persian Gulf War in 1991. I also saw it during the Taliban crisis in Afghanistan following the killing of Iranian diplomats at the consulate, when proposals were being put forward that could have led the country into dangerous and uncertain territory. The same has been true in many other cases.
Today, according to credible opinion polls and scientific public assessments, the people believe the course you have pursued so far has been both responsible and correct. Those who genuinely care about Iran believe that the strategy of national unity and the coalition of rationality you have pursued is the right path and should continue.
Your policy of working in coordination with the Leadership, with the same sincerity that has always characterized you, remains the guarantee of this course. Amid all the noise and controversy, do not allow the bond of national unity with society—or the covenant with the people who regard you as an honest, courageous, and sincere statesman—to be broken.
Your greatest asset is that very trust: the trust of a people who did not abandon Iran in its most difficult days.
