The IRGC made the announcements in successive statements on Monday, during which it detailed strikes targeting American assets in Jordan and Kuwait as part of the 21st and 22nd waves of its Operation Nasr-2 (Victory-2).
’20 hangars destroyed, dozens of US forces killed’
The 21st wave saw the IRGC carry out precision strikes leading to “the destruction of 20 hangars used to station troops of the child-killing US military in the al-Azraq area" in Jordan, which also resulted in “the deaths of dozens of American terrorist forces.”
The Corps thanked the Jordanian public and members of the country’s armed forces for providing it with intelligence that facilitated the reprisal.
‘US military aircraft suffer serious damage’
Additionally, the 21st phase featured destructive ballistic missile strikes by the IRGC’s Aerospace Force against US C-17 strategic transport aircraft and P-8 command-and-control aircraft at Aqaba Airport in Jordan.
The latter set of strikes inflicted “heavy damage on a number of the aircraft,” the statement went on.
In a separate statement, the IRGC announced conducting the 22nd wave of Operation Nasr-2, saying it had struck multiple US military facilities at Ali al-Salem Airbase in Kuwait.
According to the second statement, an American early warning radar system was “completely destroyed” in a drone strike, while aviation equipment, a spare-parts hangar, and an MQ-9 drone shelter were also hit, causing several drones to catch fire.
The Corps, meanwhile, addressed the Jordanian and Kuwaiti public, noting how the United States would chronically use the regional countries’ territories to perpetrate acts of bloodshed and destruction against the regional peoples.
It urged the public in both countries to step up in favor of stopping Washington from continuing the atrocities.
Reiterating its appreciation of the Jordanian public’s contribution to the Islamic Republic’s retaliatory efforts, the IRGC thanked them for their "efforts and cooperation in fulfilling your religious duty and paving the way for the liberation of the holy [occupied city of] al-Quds” from Zionist occupation.
It also reminded Kuwaitis that it was those very regional American outposts that were used during the latest bout of unprovoked American-Israeli aggression against the Islamic Republic to conduct deadly and destructive attacks on Iranian soil, including one that led to the martyrdom of 168 schoolchildren in southern Iran. “We expect you, the noble and honorable people of Kuwait, to fulfill your divine duty and not allow Kuwaiti soil to serve as a launching point for aggression and the killing of Muslims.”
The IRGC’s latest reprisal came as Washington has kept up its deadly and destructive violations against the Islamic Republic, despite announcing a ceasefire in the unprovoked aggression on April 7 and signing a so-called memorandum of understanding with Tehran in the following month.
