In a post published on X on Friday, Araghchi said three villagers were martyred while crossing the Bandar Khamir Bridge.
“We will never allow their pure blood to be in vain,” he wrote, adding that Iran belongs to all its people “from south to north and from east to west,” and that the nation will defend every inch of its territory until its last breath.
The latest attack came after the United States resumed its military aggression against Iran last week in violation of the Islamabad Memorandum of Understanding (MoU), which both sides signed on June 17 in an effort to halt wars on all fronts.
Iran has responded with several rounds of drone and missile strikes against US military assets across the region under Operations “Saeqeh” and “Nasr.”
The current aggression follows the US-Israeli aggression that began on February 28, when Washington and Tel Aviv launched large-scale attacks on Iranian territory.
Iran answered with daily waves of missile and drone strikes against US and Israeli targets under the operational codename “True Promise 4.”
Foreign Ministry spox: Iranian nation more united than ever
Foreign Ministry spokesperson Esmaeil Baghaei said on Saturday that the United States was trying to display its so-called “strength” by attacking civilian infrastructure and killing innocent people, describing the latest strikes as another example of US war crimes.
In a post on X, Baghaei said the US military attacked several bridges and residential neighborhoods in Hormozgan Province on Friday, killing eight civilians, including four women and four men, among them two disabled brothers.
He said Washington’s latest crimes would only strengthen the resolve of the Iranian people, adding that the nation is now more united and determined than ever to make its “savage enemies” regret their military aggression against Iran.
