Iran slams US, Israel, Argentina for voting against UN anti-terror measures

Foreign Ministry spokesperson Esmaeil Baqaei has criticized the United States, the Israeli regime and Argentina for opposing key United Nations anti-terrorism resolutions.

In a post on his X account on Thursday, Baqaei highlighted several resolutions adopted by the United Nations General Assembly over the past year concerning the fight against terrorism and other international crimes, and noted the opposition of the United States, the Israeli regime, and Argentina to those resolutions.

He said, “Just a hint at what is what and who is who: UNGA resolution on Global Counter-TERRORISM Strategy was adopted by an overwhelming majority on 1 July 2026. Only 3 voted against: Israel, US, Argentina.”

He also counted a number of such resolutions:

UNGA resolution on declaring the transatlantic SLAVE TRADE as a CRIME AGAINST HUMANITY was adopted on 25 March 2026. Only 3 voted against: Israel, the US, and Argentina;
UNGA resolution on countering TRAFFICKING IN PERSONS was adopted on 18 December 2025. Only 3 voted against: Israel, the US, and Argentina;
UNGA resolution on TERRORISM AND HUMAN RIGHTS was adopted on 18 December 2025. Only 3 voted against: Israel, the US, and Argentina.

At the end, he asked, “Aren’t they revealing?”
