Ebrahim Azizi made these remarks on Thursday during a ceremony commemorating Lieutenant General Mohammad Bagheri, the late Chairman of the Chiefs of Staff of the Armed Forces, as well as his wife and daughter, who were assassinated by the American and Israeli terrorist regimes on June 13, 2025.
Azizi said that Donald Trump, the “delusional” president of the United States, has frequently threatened Iran, both during and prior to the 12-day war. He added that there is no doubt the Islamic Republic of Iran will deliver a decisive, crushing, painful, and regret-inducing response to any attack.
Regarding Kharg Island, he noted that the Iranian Armed Forces stationed there remain in a state of high readiness. He further said that during the US-Israeli war of aggression against Iran, more than 9,000 American personnel fled the Persian Gulf and over 14 American bases in the region were destroyed, describing the events as “humiliating for the United States.”
