Hamid Reza Inanlou, Acting Director of International Affairs at the Iran Food and Drug Administration (IFDA), said the agreement followed a meeting between IFDA chief Mehdi Pirsalehi and Belarusian envoy to Iran, Dmitry Koltsov.
During the meeting, Pirsalehi condemned what he described as violations of international conventions by the Israeli regime and the United States, citing attacks on healthcare centers and manufacturing facilities producing health products, including medicines, medical equipment, and powdered milk, Inanlou added.
The IFDA chief also detailed the severe damage inflicted on approximately 100 Iranian companies involved in producing health products, including distribution companies and pharmacies, according to Inanlou.
Pirsalehi praised Iran's domestic production capacities in manufacturing high-quality medicines and medical equipment, and called for the removal of any potential obstacles to exporting these vital products to Belarus, the official said.
In response, Koltsov expressed satisfaction with the current level of bilateral relations between the two countries, Inanlou noted.
The Belarusian diplomat offered his country's readiness to facilitate the import of medicine and pharmaceutical raw materials from Iran, emphasizing the importance of using reliable banking mechanisms and official trade channels to ensure the sustainability of the medicine supply chain needed by Belarusian citizens, Inanlou concluded.
