Speaking during a meeting with Pakistan’s Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi in Tehran on Sunday, Momeni said relations between Tehran and Islamabad should be strengthened in a “significant and tangible” way and described the $10 billion trade goal as within reach through the efforts of both sides.
He said the objective placed greater responsibility on the two countries’ interior ministries to help establish the conditions needed to implement the plan and turn the trade target into reality.
Naqvi said he hoped ongoing efforts by Iranian and Pakistani officials would lead to closer relations between the two countries and further advance bilateral cooperation.
